Cibona, Krka and Tajfun seek new victories

The second round of the regular season in FIBA Europe Cup begins for three ABA League participating teams. While Cibona and Krka will try to score their second victories of the season and stay unbeaten, Tajfun looks forward to their (hopefully) maiden triumph in the competition.

The FIBA Europe Cup is about to continue and Krka will be the ABA League team to open it first with a road game against Frankfurt Skyliners. The German side were, just like Novo mesto ABA League side, successful in the opening round in which they have beaten Leiden and currently they are taking the top spot in group G, together with Krka. They are also placed at the 8th place in German Bundesliga.

On Wednesday, the action will continue for Cibona and Tajfun. After beating Benfica Lisbon in the opening round, Cibona will battle fort he first place in their group with Belgian side Antwerp Giants, that have beaten Hungarian Sopron at the beginning of the season. Antwerp is currently at the 8th spot in Belgian Championship.

Tajfun will try to score their first victory of European season, after they fought bravely against ČEZ Nymburk in the opening round, but fell short in the end. Their opponent this time will be Irish Hibernia basket, an Ireland league all-star team, which were defeated by the Bakken Bears at the season's beginning.
