Tajfun with a maiden FIBA Europe Cup wi

Tajfun have achieved their first ever FIBA Europe Cup victory, by prevailing over Hibernia basket at home in Celje. On the other hand, Cibona have lost to Antwerp Giants. A day before, Krka lost to Fraport Skyliners in Frankfurt.

Tajfun celebrate their first ever triumph on European international club stage and they did it in front of home crowd against Irish Hibernia Basket. The side from šentjur were a much better opponent throughout the game and in the end prevailed with the final score of 82:55. Ceola Clark III became the top scorer with 15 points, while Sandi Čebular followed him with 14 on his account.

In the other game of the night, Cibona hosted Belgian side Antwerp Giants and fell short after being in front after 20 minutes, but practically falling apart in the second half, which they lost by 18 points. The final score was 92:78 in favour of the visitors. Marko Jagodić Kuridža was the top scorer of the Zagreb side with 23 points, followed by James Florence, who added 22.

After rolling over FC Porto in the first round of the regular season in Fiba Europe Cup, Krka have suffered their first defeat of the European season. On the road in Frankfurt, they fell short against German Bundesliga side Fraport Skyliners after a thrilling finish.

The final score was 67:65 with Jure Lalić and Dušan Katnić leading the way for the ABA League side in scoring with 13 points achieved each.

Cibona and Tajfun will go on court on Wednesday, when they will host Antwerp Giants and Hibernia Basket, respectively.
