They have done it again! After beating Efes in Istanbul last week, Cedevita have stunned another European giant! This time, they defeated Emporio Armani in Milano!
Crvena zvezda Telekom was defeat for the third time this season in the Euroleague. At their home court, Fenerbahce Ulker was too strong with the score of 74:60. The guest were a better opponent throughout the game and decided its outcome already in the first half, when they went up by 14 points at the big break.
For Crvena zvezda Telekom Vladimir štimac scored 13 points, while Ryan Thompson and Maik Zirbes added 10 each.
A night before, Cedevita scored a new important win in the hunt for Top 16, on the road in Milano against EA7 Olimpia Milano. The Zagreb side were playing very good during the whole game, while they were especially inspired in the first and in the last quarter. Zagreb crew won the opening period with 21:11 and gained an early double-digit lead. Still, Emporio Armani managed to return from this deficit and even to take the lead before the last quarter - 50:49. But then the crowd in Milano stayed stunned... Because, Cedevita scored 28 points in the last 10 minutes!
Miro Bilan was brilliant, Marko Arapović gave him necessary support down in the paint, while Luka Babić and James White scored some very important three-pointers. At the end, Cedevita prevailed over their hosts, while Jasmin Repeša had to congratulate Veljko Mršić and his former team on a superb performance.
