Story of the game: Big night is coming up in Celje for the basketball fans, since their Tajfun will host Union Olimpija. Due to huge number of trophies, whenever the Dragons appear somewhere in Slovenia, the local rivals are usually fired up for the clash against the big rival, but current situation is a bit different, since the hosts are actually the reigning Slovenian champions as well. However, Olimpija is always Olimpija and anything else than a packed arena would be a surprise.
For the visitors, the importance of the game of corse lies in the fact that only the victory keeps them in the zone, where they would stay close to the top four teams of the league. On the other hand, victory would help Tajfun to escape the very bottom of the standings, which they currently share with Sutjeska and Partizan NIS.
Only one of them will be successful on their mission.
Match-up in focus: Tajfun's main strenght lies in the paint, where tall Emir Zimić and storng, but versatile Tomaž Bolčina are making their mark this season. On the other hand, Vasilije Vučetić and Ronalds Zakis are not truly the most reliable weapons of the Dragons this season and if they manage to maintain the balance inside, this might be the key to their victory.
