ABA League 12th round, Sunday, 29.11.2015:
CEDEVITA - Partizan NIS 75:72 (17:23, 18:13, 14:16, 26:20)
Game recap: They both wanted this win so much, but at the end there could have been only one winner. It was Cedevita! After a dramatic last minute in Zagreb home side have defeated Partizan NIS thanks to two simple things - One free throw and one offensive rebound… Cedevita have continued the big race for the top spot, while Partizan NIS remained unsuccessful away from home. The black and whites have 7 defeats out of 7 games on the road!
Key moments: Partizan NIS was in better position on 30 seconds before the end. They had the ball, while the score was tied at 71:71… Still, Danilo Anđušić made a huge miss, as his 2 pts attempt didn't even reach the basket. Partizan NIS decided to make a foul on Jacob Pullen, and he made both free-throws - 73:71. Cedevita then made the same call and sent Danilo Anđušić on the line with just 5 seconds remaining on the clock. He made only 1 out of 2 free-throws - 73:72!
Away squad made a quick foul on Pullen once again. He scored the first free-throw - 74:72, missed the second one, but Henry Walker made the offensive rebound! The ball eventually ended up in the hands of Luka Babić who got fouled and made only the second free-throw - 75:72. Still, there were only 2 seconds until the end and Vanja Marinković could not score an impossible 3pts attempt.
Man of the match: Jacob Pullen. Not just because of those free-throws at the end. Just before that he made 5 points in a row for Cedevita which were so important for his team. Interesting enough, his overall index rating was just 3, but he was the best when his team needed him the most.
Can"t trick the stats: Cedevita had more assists and less turnovers than Partizan NIS, but we will repeat again - This match was decided by one free-throw and one offensive rebound.
