Olimpija still in the race, Budućnost got eliminated

Not a good day for ABA League clubs in Eurocup. Two defeats and one elimination...

Union Olimpija had a nice chance to qualify for the next stage of the Eurocup. They played at home and needed a win to secure one of the top four spots in Group A... But, on the other side was a too powerful opponent. Bilbao Basket came to Ljubljana to take a little revenge for that defeat in the first clash, and they succeeded in their mission. Spanish side scored a very convinced win.

Despite this result, Union Olimpija still have chances to reach the next stage of the Eurocup. The last round will give the answer will the crew from Ljubljana continue the competition.

On the other side, Budućnost VOLI will definitely not advance to the LAST 32 stage of Eurocup. The leader of ABA League suffered a defeat against UNICS Kazan and therefore stayed on two wins behind the fourth placed team in Group D... As there is only one round to be played in the preliminary stage it is clear that Budućnost VOLI will not advance further.
