ABA League 18th round, Monday, 04.01.2016:
Crvena zvezda Telekom - CEDEVITA 79:80 (16:22, 21:12, 26:18, 16:28)
Game recap: That was a true ABA League derby. Crvena zvezda Telekom and Cedevita played a fantastic game in Pionir Hall, while the visitors eventually scored a win after a major comeback in the last quarter! The Belgrade crew had +11 (63:52) before the last 10 minutes, but Cedevita did not want to surrender and they shocked the home crowd in the final minutes... It was the 11th consecutive win for Cedevita in the ABA League!
Key moments: Marko Gudurić scored a three-pointer on 20 seconds before the end and tied the score at 79:79... Cedevita had the ball, while Stefan Jović made a big mistake. His coach was telling him to make a foul, but Jović heard him when there was only 5 seconds on the clock... He made a foul and gave two free-throws to Jacob Pullen. American player scored the first one - 79:80, missed the second one, while Crvena zvezda Telekom made a defensive rebound. Tarence Kinsey got the ball, he ran all the way to the other side of the court, but his 2pts attempt from a pretty difficult position only hit the rim.
Man of the match: Jacob Pullen was the X factor in the last quarter. He made some very difficult three-pointers and led Cedevita toward a major comeback. As we have already mentioned, he also scored a game-winning free-throw. Pullen finished the game with 24 points.
Can't trick the stats: It is difficult to talk about the stats when one shot decides the winner. But, it is worth mentioning that Cedevita won the battle for rebounds, despite playing almost half the match without Miro Bilan, who got into problems with fouls.
