ABA League 20th round, Saturday, 16.1.2016:
Krka - PARTIZAN NIS 70:75 (11:13, 16:23, 28:19, 15:20)
Game recap: In an exciting game in Novo mesto, where Partizan NIS were in front for the majority of the time, the black and white managed to get away with a victory despite the foul problems in their frontcourt (Božo Đumić and Darrell Williams were both fouled out before last five minutes) which helped Krka to almost turn the game around in their favour. However in the final minutes of the game, the black and white were the more focused team and achieved an amazingly valuable victory in their battle to avoid relegation.
Key moments: A minute before the end, the score was 68:68 and the game could go anyone"s way. Then a 5:0 run in the guests" favour followed within the final two minutes which eventually decided the game. First Čedomir Vitkovac scored a three pointer, while Kevin Jones added two points from the free throw line. Excellent Jure Lalić scored 2 points for Krka late in the final minute, but it was not enough to take the game at least to overtime.
Man of the match: Aleksandar Cvetković led the way fantastically for Partizan NIS and he did an excellent job for the home side already in the first half, when he collected a valuation of 32. He ended the game with 21 points, 7 assists, 7 steals and 3 rebounds and an amazing valuation of 42.
Can't trick the stats: Partizan NIS were a significantly better team than Krka only in one category - 2 point shooting. They tried their shooting skills from inside the 3-point line 45 times and they executed it with 51% successful rate - more than Krka and this is probably what turned th game around in their favour.
