No luck for Cibona and Krka

Only one good half is not enough to win the game. Krka felt it on their skin in Israel. Team from Novo mesto had +6 at the halftime - 36:30, but everything changed after the break. Maccabi Rand Media won the third quarter by 28:7 and totally turned the things around. The hosts then performed just a routine finishing. Krka now have very, very slim chances to reach the next stage of the FIBA Europe Cup.
Cibona suffered similar defeat as Krka. The Wolves were in the lead after the 3rd quarter in the game against Energia - 66:64, and they even scored a three-pointer at the beginning of the last period - 69:64. But, the Romanian side then made 11:0 run and completely took over the control over the game. At the end, the only good thing for Cibona is that they have better head to head score against Energia, as the result of the first clash was 93:88 for the Zagreb crew.
