In packed red and white Pionir, Zvezda gave Unicaja no chance

Crvena zvezda Telekom have achieved their second triumph of the Euroleague Top 16 phase of the competition by beating Unicaja at home in Pionir Hall after being a better opponent almost throughout the entire game.

The Belgrade"s red and white have dominated the court in Pionir Hall in the fourth round of Euroleague Top 16 and have deservedly kept the pair of points from the game against Unicaja at home. Zvezda had a double digit lead (41:31) already at half time and despite a small crisis during the third quarter, managed to not only keep the lead until the end of the game, but also to increase it.

The final score was 87:73 in favour of Crvena zvezda Telekom, for which Stefan Jović topped the scorers" list with 15 points and Marko Gudurić followed with 13.

Already on Thursday, another ABA League representative in the Euroleague Top 16 Cedevita achieved the same success, after prevailing over Anadolu Efes in a thriller at home in Dražen Petrović Arena in Zagreb with big men Miro Bilan and Marko Arapović leading the way for their team with 16 points scored each. The final score was 84:80.

Cedevita and Zvezda are now tied at the third spot in Euroleague Top 16 Group E together with Unicaja and Anadolu Efes. All four teams have collected two victories in four games played so far.
