Zvezda topped Anadolu Efes in Vršac

Crvena zvezda Telekom have outscored Anadolu Efes and made a giant leap towards Euroleague Top 8. A day earlier, Lokomotiv Kuban were too strong for Cedevita.

Crvena zvezda Telekom remain firmly placed at the 3rd place in the Euroleague Top 16 Group E, together with Panathinaikos, after they have beaten Anadolu Efes in a fantastic atmosphere in Vršac.

Dejan Radonjić's squad have made a major comeback in the second half, which they had won by no less than 17 points, after being behind by eight when both teams headed towards the locker rooms at the end of first half (46:38). Quincy Miller was the best player in the red and white squad with 15 points while Maik Zirbes and Marko Gudurić each contributed one less than the top scorer.

It was one of those days that players of Cedevita would rather forget. Team from Zagreb traveled to Krasnodar with hope that they might stun mighty Lokomotiv, but the hosts have quickly crushed their dreams. Russian squad had a flying start of the game as they won the first quarter by 29:12! The winner of this match was pretty obvious already at that point.

Still, Cedevita showed their teeth to Lokomotiv in the second quarter and reduced the margin to 44:33… But they could not get any closer. Lokomotiv won the third period by 26:13 and definitely clinchéd the win in this duel.
