Story of the game: A spectacle is coming up in Belgrade at the match of the 25th round of the ABA League as Partizan NIS will host Cedevita in legendary Hala sportova in Belgrade. It is a clash of the team, that has been defeated only once since the new head coach Aleksandar Džikić took over the helm from Petar Božić and it happened on the road against the leading team in the standings.
Now they will try to prove that they are good enough to not let the second best team of the league beat them, at their court in Belgrade. The black and white are currently sharing the fifth position in the standings with Zadar and Cibona and by winning on the last game of the round, they would make another step towards securing themselves the final 5th position in the standings.
On the other side, this might be one of the games of the season for Cedevita. Veljko Mršić"s squad are still in the battle for the final second place at the end of the regular season and the home court advantage, that it brings with itself in the semi-finals, where they will face Crvena zvezda Telekom. Victory would approach them from clincing the second spot with only one more step remaining, while in case of an eventual defeat, the red and white from Belgrade will be given a chance to jump ahead of them. Can they succeed in preserving the second place by winning against Partizan NIS?
Match-up in focus: Former Partizan NIS member Nemanja Gordić is coming back to the town of the black and white and this time his battle with Aleksandar Cvetković will be in the limelight.
