ABA TV: Mega Leks - "Sports is beautiful because better teams don’t always win"

At the press conference in Podgorica, Mega Leks head coach Dejan Milojević and player Rade Zagorac spoke about the forthcoming opening game of the ABA League semi-finals against Budućnost VOLI.

Dejan Milojević, Mega Leks head coach:

"Congratulations to Budućnost VOLI for winning the regular season champions title deservedly. During this season of ABA League lots of quality was seen. Budućnost VOLI is currently a better team than us, but sports is beautiful especially because the better opponent does not always win. Our chances for the finals are small, but if there is only 0.1% of the chances for us to advance I am optimistic and will do my best to transfer my optimism onto my players.”

Rade Zagorac, Mega Leks player:

"I wish to express my satisfaction again with the fact that we have managed to reach the ABA League Playoffs for the first time ever. I wish to congratulate Budućnost VOLI on excellent results in the regular season, when they have proven that they are the best team of the league. We have grown as a team since the very beginning until the end and I believe that we have deserved to qualify for the Playoffs. I believe that Budućnost VOLI are the favourites of the semi-final series. We have lots of injury problems and with the injury of Ognjen Jaramaz, the situation got even worse. However, this does not mean that we will surrender. On the contrary, every player has to give even more this time and we need to do our best in order to upset Budućnost VOLI.”
