Game recap: Crvena zvezda Telekom have joined Mega Leks in the finals of the 2015/16 ABA League season, as they have edged out Cedevita in the second game of the Semi-final series and swept the series with 2:0 in victories. This time they celebrated in Zagreb thanks especially to their excellent second half apperarance with which they managed to perform a major comeback and to celebrate in Dom sportova.
Key moments: Cedevita were up by five points (39:34) at the end of the first half and it seemed that they were in control of the game"s flow, but as the teams rerutned from the locker rooms, the fans in the sold out Dom sporova saw a completely different story. Zvezda opened the second half with a 5:0 run, won the third quarter by 11 points (21:10) and completely turned the game around in their favour. In the final period, they only confirmed their advantage, despite the fact that Nemanja Gordić managed to cut their lead to only a point (63:62) with a minute and a half left. Zvezda answered with a 10:3 run until the end and claimed an important triumph.
Man of the match: Nobody else but Vladimir štimac turned out to be Crvena zvezda Telekom"s hero in the crucial battle for the finals. He ended the game with 17 points, 6 rebounds and a block in 17 minutes played, earned himself the valuation of 16 and became our man of the match in the end.
Can"t trick the stats: Rebounding battle was decisive once again. Crvena zvezda Telekom were better on the glass than Cedevita with a 34:23 difference in the rebounding and this is what broke the game in their favour.
