ABA TV: Mega Leks - “Without aggressive defense we cannot play against Zvezda”

Mega Leks head coach Dejan Milojević and player Danilo Nikolić shared their impressions after the second game of the ABA League Finals. Take a look.

Dejan Milojević, Mega Leks head coach:

"I would like to congratulate Crvena zvezda Telekom on a well-deserved win. I have nothing to hold against my players. Zvezda are a better team than us even when we are in full numbers, so there is no need to point out the difference between two teams when we have so many injured players. Without an aggressive defense, which was our trademark during the whole season, we cannot play against Crvena zvezda Telekom. Simply, if a weaker team want to win the match, they need to play with much more energy than their opponents, but with such a short roster we just do not have that energy. You can see by yourself that the players are very tired, they are playing more than 30 minutes per match… On top of all troubles, two players got a fever last night. We have been "alive" in this match all the way until the last quarter, but with 2-3 mistakes we let Crvena zvezda Telekom escape to +15 and the game was over.”

Danilo Nikolić, Mega Leks player:

"When it comes to energy and concentration, we did not enter this game well. We had many bad decisions offensively and that just can"t happen if we want o beat Crvena zvezda Telekom. We are in a difficult situation, we are aware of our mistakes, but we will try to at least extend this series.”
