The Basketball Champions League starts on 27 September with the Qualification Round while the Regular Season tips off on 20 October 2016. So far, there are 24 teams that have already qualified for the Regular Season, including Cibona, Mega Leks and Helios Suns.
These are the teams that will play in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season:
ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne, SIG Basket Strasbourg, AS Monaco, Le Mans Sarthe, BK Banvit, Pinar Karsiyaka, Aris Thessaloniki, Sidigas Avellino, Fraport Skyliners, EWE Baskets Oldenburg, PAOK, Umana Reyer Venezia, BC Telenet Oostende, Maccabi Rishon Le Zion, Cibona Zagreb, ČEZ Basketball Nymburk, Neptunas, Rosa Radom, Helios Suns, Mega Leks, Iberostar Tenerife, Avtodor Saratov, Khimik, Ventspils.
The Regular Season will consist of 32 teams, while the remaining eight places will be determined through the Qualification Round.
A total of 16 teams will start their Basketball Champions League campaign from the Qualification Round 1, including Igokea and Mornar Bar.
The clubs of the Qualification Round 1:
Juventus, Kataja, Igokea, Rilski Sportist, Tsmoki Minsk, Donar Groningen, KK Mornar Bar, Tartu Ülikool/Rock, CS Municipal Oradea, U-Mobitelco BT Cluj-Napoca, BC Prievidza, Bakken Bears, Södertälje Kings, FC Porto, Benfica, Petrolina AEK.
The eight winners of the Qualification Round 1 will play the eight clubs already placed in Qualification Round 2.
The clubs of the Qualification Round 2:
Lukoil Academic, Szolnoki Olaj, Proximus Spirou Charleroi, Besiktas Sompo Japan, Ironi Nahariya, Muratbey Usak Sportif, Openjobmetis Varese, MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg.
The eight final victors will advance to the Regular Season.
The official draw of the Basketball Champions League will take place in Munich, on 21 July.
