Danilo Nikolić from Mega Leks to Bilbao

Mega Leks power forward Danilo Nikolić will continue his career in Spain, since he agreed on cooperation with the Liga Endesa side Bilbao. The Spanish side will compete in the Eurocup next season as well.

Last season in Mega was unforgettable for me and I would like something similar to happen tzo me again. Given that I have been the oldest player of Mega Leks for a large part of the season, I am convinced that I am ready for new challenges in Bilbao and I eagerly wait to join the new team,« Nikolić stated after the agreement was made.

Nikolić arrived to Mega Les in 2014 from Budućnost VOLI and was one of the integral members of Mega Leks in their success story. With the team he lifted the first trophy in club's history by winning the Radivoj Korać Cup and reached the Finals of the ABA League. In the regional competition he averaged 10.6 points and 5.2 rebounds.

Krilni centar Mega Leksa Danilo Nikolić će svoju karijeru nastaviti u španiji pošto je potpisao ugovor sa članom lige Endesa Bilbaom. španski tim će naredne sezone igrati Evrokup.

„Zahvalan sam svima u klubu na pruženoj šansi i svemu što su uradili za mene i poželeo bih im sreću u daljoj karijeri. Prošla sezona u Megi je bila nezaboravna i voleo bih da se tako nešto ponovi. Verujem da će klub nastaviti da raste i da će i dalje biti najbolja sredina za mlade igrače. S obzirom da sam u najvećem delu prošle sezone bio najstariji igrač Mega Leksa, siguran sam da sam spreman za nove izazove u Bilbau i jedva čekam da se priključim novom timu",izjavio je Nikolić nakon postignutog dogovora.

Nikolić je u Megu došao 2014. godine iz redova Budućnosti VOLI a u prošloj sezoni je bio jedan od najzaslužnijih za sjajne rezultate Mege. Odigrao je sjajno na finalnom turniru Kupa Radivoja Koraća u Nišu, gde je Mega Leks osvojio prvi trofej u istoriji klubu, dok je sa njom u ABA ligi stigao do finalne serije. U regionalnom takmičenju je u proseku imao 10,6 poena uz 5,2 skoka.
