Igokea seeking their chance of rebirth against Karpoš Sokoli

In the ABA League 15th round opener, Igokea are about to host Karpoš Sokoli, a revelation of the last couple of rounds in the regional competition. Will the home side be able to return to winning track after two defeats in a row, at home court in Laktaši.

Story of the game: An important night is coming up in Laktaši Sports Hall for both Igokea and Karpoš Sokoli in the 15th round opener on Saturday. Both teams are currently on the crossroads. While Igokea will try to stand up after two tough defeats on the road, now that they will return to home court again, Karpoš Sokoli, one of the brightest stars of the past few rounds in the ABA League, will do their best in order not to continue their fairy-tale about success.

The Skopje side have won four of their last six games, but it is true that each time they have done it on home court. They have never celebrated a triumph on the road yet this season in the ABA League.

In case of a success, Igokea would strengthen their position in the upper half of the standings, while Karpoš Sokoli would make a giant leap towards reaching their goal – escaping the very bottom of the standings.

While Karpoš Sokoli are coming to Laktaši without injured Jaysean Paige and Igor Penov, Igokea have no injury worries at the moment whatsoever.

Match-up in focus: It will be fun to watch a showdown of two excellent athletic forwards, Blaž Mahkovic of Igokea and Zoran Vrkić of Karpoš Sokoli. The two players have been not just thrilling the fans in the stands with their attractive plays, but have also been coming up with good solution when their teams needed them the most over the past few games.
