Anadolu Efes beat Zvezda in Belgrade

Crvena zvezda mts have suffered their ninth EuroLeague defeat at home against Anadolu Efes in the 21st round of the elite European basketball competition.

In an important clash of two rivals for one of the Playoffs spots in the EuroLeague, Anadolu Efes made an important break on the road in Belgrade against Crvena zvezda mts, handed Dejan Radonjić’s squad their 9th defeat of the European season and cut the gap between the two sides in the standings to 2 wins now.

Zvezda were the ones that took an early lead, which reached its peak in 8th minute, when they were up 16:10. However, the guests had a phenomenal second quarter (31:16) in which they came back and took a giant 47:36 lead at half time. In the second half, the Turkish squad managed to control their lead until the end and deservedly celebrated 86:72.

Marko Simonović was the top scorer for the red and white with 17 points, while Charles Jenkins added 13.
