Story of the game: In this round we will have a clash of two ABA League teams who managed to win their first trophies in the 2016/17 season last week. Union Olimpija and Budućnost VOLI won the national cups of their countries, so they both approach this game in very high spirits.
Still, when we speak only about their current form in ABA League, then we come to a big difference. Union Olimpija suffered 3 consecutive defeats in the regional competition and that is something this club is not used to. Therefore, the Dragons will do everything to break this awful streak and to improve their current position on the standings.
At the same time, Budućnost VOLI have written down 3 wins in a row in ABA League, they have claimed a spot in the Playoffs, but there is one final thing they want to do in the regular season. They want to clinch the 2nd spot and to secure themselves a home court advantage in the semifinals. To do so, Budućnost VOLI need to keep winning, as there are just 4 rounds left to be played in the regular season.
