ABA League 26th round, Saturday, 11.3.2017:
Where? Dom sportova, Zagreb
When? 19:00
Story of the game: Only one chapter – the 26th round – is between us and the final part of the season – the Playoffs, where the trophy will be won. One of the most important question now is who (besides Crvena zvezda mts), will hold the home court advantage in the Semi-finals.
Cedevita are currently the team that is in the best position in this battle, since they are the only one of the three sides, that can decide their own destiny. Beating FMP on Saturday night at home court in Dom sportova would be enough for Veljko Mršić and his guys, regardless of any other score.
However, FMP have been playing well lately and they have their own plans ahead of them. The battle for the sixth place in the standings is still open and they wish to achieve it.
However, it would be tough to do so for them, playing on the road without important players that are currently sidelined, like Filip Čović and Aleksa Radanov.
The first time that the two sides have met this season, Cedevita prevailed in Belgrade with the score of 96:89.
Match-up in focus: Ra’shad James has demonstrated many times this season what his athletic and other capabilities are and he is willing to do so once again. With FMP key player Filip Čović missing at the side of the FMP, a huge challenge lies in front of Marko Ljubičić, who will try to prove himself worthy of the task and limit the contribution of James this time around – in order to help his team win on the tough road game in Zagreb. Can he do it?
Head to head in regional league: In total 3:0; In Zagreb 1:0.
