Game recap: Yes, they played each other last week in the final round of the 2016/17 ABA League regular season, but now it is time for the real thing. The Semi-Finals of the ABA League Playoffs.
Crvena zvezda mts will have a home court advantage against Budućnost VOLI and we all know what that means. Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall will probably be too small for this event, as the red & white fans have been waiting for the Playoffs for a long time. They will do their best to create another crazy basketball party in Belgrade and to help the home team take the lead in the series.
Crvena zvezda mts have beaten plenty of world-class teams at home court in this season, while they have already defeated Budućnost VOLI twice in the 2016/17 ABA campaign. In Podgorica it was 77:54 for the red & white squad, while last week Zvezda triumphed in Belgrade by 82:66.
Still, Budućnost VOLI are definitely not going to give up on their goals that easily. The Blue squad have the quality, they have the motive and they will do everything they can to score an away win on Sunday evening.
Get ready, because we are in front of one more basketball spectacle in ABA League.
Match-up in focus: Ognjen Kuzmić has been dominant in the paint, not just in ABA League, but in Euroleague as well. Therefore, the starting center of Budućnost VOLI Zoran Nikolić will have a special task on Sunday evening to try to stop his direct rival. That will be one fierce battle.
