Crvena zvezda mts: "Fans, we need you on Sunday"

"We have done our job in the regular season. We wanted to seize the top spot and to have the home court advantage in the Playoffs and we have achieved that. Now, we need to use that advantage in the Playoffs. We need to give our best to enter the semifinals in the proper way and to start the series in one positive ambient. We are in a very specific moment, because we have already played a lot of games, somewhere around 20 more than Budućnost. And, considering the ammount of time, that is a significant difference. Our schedule brings a certain ammount of caution and it requires to be at the same level as the important games which are in front of us. And, we are in front of the games of which the existence of our club depends on. Because, this is the competition which brings a continuity of playing in the Euroleague. Budućnost is a very good team. They showed us that last weekend when they played a very good match and when they showed they are ready to play against us. It is clear that their players are in good form and I expect an even better Budućnost on Sunday. They have high quality at each position, and considering the fact that I know them very well, I can say that they are capable of beating any team. As far as we are concerned, everyone are ready for the upcoming match. The situation with Jović is much better, but we will see how will that work out until Sunday evening. We just need to be aware that the stories about our possible qualification to the Top 8 in Euroleague are not something that should be present at this moment. We have all seen that there were several thousand fans supporting us in Milano and we have all enjoyed there... But, there will be no Milano next season if we are not good enough in this semifinal series. If we want to relive those moments, then we should all come to the gym on Sunday evening. And the team will do their best to be ready for the game."

"We have fulfilled our goal for the regular season. We claimed the top spot which has brought us the home court advantage in the Playoffs. Now we are in front of the most important games in the season. We need to move our priorities from Euroleague to ABA League. There is no doubt that all the eyes were pointed into our Euroleague games in the last couple of weeks, as we had secured the top spot in ABA league much several rounds before the end of the regular season. These are "live or die" games and I hope that our fans will recognize this moment and that they will fill the gym on Sunday. On the opposite side we will have a very quality and experienced team of Budućnost. We know each other very well. With most of their players we either played in the same team or played against them, so there are no secrets here. I hope that we will be at the required level to take the lead in the semifinal series."
