EC: Close defeat for Budućnost VOLI in Istanbul
In the first round of the EuroCup Quarter-finals, Budućnost VOLI have suffered a close defeat on the road in Istanbul against Darussafaka.

Budućnost VOLI have not been lucky in the first round of the EuroCup Quarter-finals, as they are returning from Istanbul, where they have been the guests of Darussafaka, empty handed.
It has been anybody’s game in the first half and the home side have been up by only a point at the big break. In the third quarter, Darussafaka have pulled away by 11, but Budućnost VOLI bounced back in the final quarter, leading the game into a thrilling finish.
In the end, however, they did not manage to complete a major comeback and the Istanbul side have celebrated a victory with the final score of 57:54. For Budućnost VOLI, Nikola Ivanović and Danilo Nikolić led the way in scoring with 12 points achieved each.
The second round game is coming up on Friday, when Budućnost VOLI will host Darussafaka in Podgorica (19:00).
