ABA League clubs are facing new challenges in the European competitions. Budućnost VOLI are ahead of another two-game week in EuroLeague and both of their opponents are the Turkish giants. The reigning ABA League champions will firstly play against Anadolu Efes on the road on Tuesday evening, while two days later they will host mighty Fenerbahce. There is no doubt that it will be another true basketball spectacle in Podgorica.
In EuroCup, Cedevita will be the only ABA team to play their game on Tuesday. The Orange squad will host Tofas in the last round of the regular season, but that match is not that important for the Zagreb squad, as they have already advanced to the next stage as the 3rd placed team of Group B.
Wednesday will start with a big derby between Galatasaray and Crvena zvezda mts. You are all quite familiar with the fact that there is a big rivalry between these two clubs, but what is very important for the Belgrade side is that they have already booked a ticket for the next stage. Therefore, they are not in a must-win situation in front of this match.
On the other side, Partizan NIS are in a must-win situation in front of the crucial home match against Turk Telekom. The black & whites will chase a +5 win against the Turkish squad, but many things will also depend on the results of the other games in Group C. Anyway, one thing is certain – Partizan NIS must win this match in order to advance to the next stage.
Mornar will face Lithuanian team Rytas in their last game in the 2018/19 EuroCup season. The squad from Bar have lost all chances to qualify for the next stage, so they will be playing just for honor in the upcoming match.
In the FIBA Champions League, Petrol Olimpija will host Greek side Promitheas. After winning the big derby against Krka in the last round of ABA League, the Dragons are full of confidence and they will now try to break their losing streak in the FIBA Champions League, as they have lost 4 consecutive games in this competition.
