Crvena zvezda mts have defended the domestic throne! The red & whites defeated Partizan NIS on the road in Game 4 by 76:75 and closed the final series by 3-1 in wins. The hero of the night was Billy Baron who made the game-winning lay-up at the buzzer.
It was another thrilling Belgrade derby. Partizan NIS went in front after Alex Renfroe made a 2-pointer on 13 seconds before the end. Crvena zvezda mts head coach Milan Tomić called for a time-out and his plan was to give the ball to the team top scorer this night - Billy Baron. And that plan worked perfectly for the visitors. Baron beat Stefan Janković in 1-on-1 play and made the game-winning lay-up at the buzzer.
Zvezda have therefore claimed the 20th domestic title in club’s history, while this is also the 5th consecutive year that the red & whites are the champions of Serbia.
