WC: Montenegro defeated by Greece
In their first game at the 2019 World Cup, which was also their first ever appearance at the World Cups, Montenegro have suffered a defeat by Greece.

In their opening game at the 2019 FIBA World Cup, Montenegro failed to grab a pair of points, as already in their first ever World Cup appearance, they have had to face powerhouse Greece.
The Greeks pulled away already in the first half, when they wen up by 26 points and have easily controlled the flow of the game afterwards in the second half. In the end, the score was 85:60 in favour of Greece.
It was Nikola Vučević who topped the list of scorers for Montenegro with 12 points, while Budućnost VOLI young gun Petar Popović followed him with 11.
