PRESEASON: Victories for Budućnost, Zvezda, Igokea, Cibona and Partizan

On Thursday night, Budućnost VOLI, Crvena zvezda mts, Igokea, Cibona and Partizan NIS have celebrated new preseason victories, by beating Mornar, Peristeri, Büyükçekmece, Torun and AEK, respectively. Zadar have been defeated by Anadolu Efes.

In the clash of the two ABA League sides, Budućnost VOLI have prevailed over Mornar, convincingly with 20-point margin between the two sides. In the end, the score was 96:76, thanks to Budućnost VOLI’s fantastic performance in the second half, after a 3-point lead at halftime. For the winning side, Zoran Nikolić and Fedor Žugić had 12 points, while for Mornar Jacob Pullen had 15 points and Sead Šehović 12.

Crvena zvezda mts had another convincing performance in Greece, as they have outgunned Peristeri of Athens. The final score was 86:77 in favour of Crvena zvezda mts. For the Belgrade side, Lorenzo Brown had 22 points and James Gist had 16.

Igokea have prevailed over Büyükçekmece on the road in Turkey. The squad of Aleksandrovac had an excellent first half, after which they were up by 12 points. In the second half, the Turks have managed to make their defeat look decent, but Igokea celebrated a 75:73 win. For the ABA League side, Keenan Evans had 16 points. Sava Lešić scored 13.

Partizan NIS have grabbed another preseason win, as they have defeated AEK at home in Belgrade with the score of 86:80, even though they were behind by 14 points at halftime. Ognjen Jaramaz led the way in scoring for Partizan NIS with 15 points, while Rashawn Thomas scored 14.

At the tournament in Poland, Cibona won the final third place, as they have defeated Polski Cukier Torun with the final score of 94:89. Shane Gibson was the top scorer of the Wolves, as he scored 20 points, while Roberto Kovač added 18.

In their second game at the Zadar Basketball Tournament, Zadar have suffered a defeat by Anadolu Efes, after the Turkish side have been the better of the two teams throughout the clash. In the end, the score was 100:81 in favour of Anadolu Efes. Bryon Allen was the top scorer of Zadar with 27 points. Martin Junaković had 14.
