Story of the game: After facing each other last week at the 2019 ABA Super Cup, Crvena zvezda mts and Koper Primorska will meet again in the opening round of the new ABA League season.

This game is especially interesting, because it is the clash of the reigning ABA 1 and ABA 2 champions. And guess what - it was the ABA 2 champions Koper Primorska who won their ABA Super Cup duel last week!

Crvena zvezda mts can’t afford to lose another game against the league newcomers, especially because the battle for the Playoffs will be fierce this season. The red & whites will most certainly have a different approach than in the ABA Super Cup clash, but they are not the only one who will decide about the outcome of the following game. Koper Primorska have won the hearts of all basketball fans with the way they played at the 2019 ABA Super Cup and if the Tigers can repeat that performance they might stun the champions once again.

Match-up in focus: Crvena zvezda mts fans are still waiting Derrick Brown to show his true face and this might be a perfect chance for him to finally shine in the red & white jersey. Last week Brown lost the battle against Koper Primorska power forward Marko Jagodić Kuridža, so he will be extra motivated to be better this time. On the other side, Jagodić Kuridža will try to prove that his magical display last week was not just a coincidence and that he is not afraid of a high reputation player such Derrick Brown is.
