ABA League Round 2, Wednesday, 21 October 2020:

KRKA - IGOKEA

Where? Leon Štukelj Sports Hall, Novo mesto

When? 17:00

Story of the game: Just two days after they scored a big road win against Zadar in Krešimir Ćosić Hall, Krka’s troops are about to return on court to host Igokea in rescheduled game of Round 2. Recall that this match had to be rescheduled due to the 10-day quarantine of Krka team from exposure to the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Despite being unable to hold team practices for 10 days, Krka put on a very good performance on Monday evening in Zadar as they defeated the home team and scored their first win in the 2020/21 season. Now, they want to stay on the winning track, but they will be facing the team which they had problems playing against in recent history.

Igokea have won 5 out of the last 6 games against Krka, while they have won 2 out of the last 3 away games in Novo mesto. On top of that, Igokea’s troops have boosted their confidence significantly after winning the game against Koper Primorska last weekend.

Both sides aim for their 2nd win of the season, we are about to see which one will take it on Wednesday evening.

Match-up in focus: Rok Stipčević has already showed that Krka made the right choice by signing him last summer. He was the team’s top scorer in both of the previous two games in the regular season, while he will now have direct duel with Igokea’s top scorer – Stefan Pot.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 7:9; In Novo mesto: 5:3.
