ABA 2 newcomers Podgorica will definitely be satisfied after the first tournament of the 2020/21 ABA League 2 championship as they finished this part of the season with the overall score of 3-1. In their last game in this stage, Podgorica defeated their local rivals Lovćen 1947 in a very exciting match.
The two sides were all tied at 72:72, with a bit over 2 minutes left on the game clock, while then Podgorica made the crucial 7:0 run to escape their opponents to 79:72. The league newcomers had no problems keeping that lead until the end.
