Are you interested in the ABA League all-time records? Check out the following article and find out which major stats changes occurred during the last weekend.

The World of Stats

Filip Petrušev (Mega Soccerbet) scored 32 points in the match against Split which is the 2020/21 season record for the highest number of points scored by one player in a single game. Interesting enough, Petrušev also holds the 2nd best score in this category in this season as he made 29 points in Round 5. The third player on this list is Ivan Novačić (Cibona) who scored 28 points in the last-round match against FMP.

Budućnost VOLI were perfect from the free-throw line last weekend as they were shooting 17/17 FT in the derby match against Crvena zvezda mts. Nikola Ivanović (Budućnost VOLI) scored 4 out of those 17 free throws and he therefore moved up to the 18th place on the ABA League All-Time Free Throws Made list. Ivanović has made a total number of 436 free throws in his ABA league career so far and he surpassed Jakov Vladović (434) on the All-Time list.

To have a perfect free-throw night in situations when you have 15+ free throws in a single game is not something you will see every day. Budućnost VOLI did it in the last-round match against Crvena zvezda mts (17/17 FT), while that is not the best score in this season as Koper Primorska had 18/18 FT in Round 3 match against Igokea. If we go even more in the past, we will find Igokea’s perfect free-throw game from 26 December, 2018 when they were shooting free throws 21/21. The league record in this category is in possession of Crvena zvezda mts who were 27/27 from the free-throw line in the match against Laško back in 2003.

We have previously mentioned that Nikola Ivanović improved his position on the ABA League Free Throws Made list, while this player has also made progress on the ABA League All-Time Assists list. By making 3 assists last weekend Ivanović has tied with Marin Rozić at the 9th place of the ABA League All-Time Assists list. Both of them have made 534 assists.

Sead Šehović (Mornar) played his 248th game in ABA League and has therefore moved up to the 13th place on the ABA League All-Time Games Played list. He surpassed Siniša Štemberger (247), while ne needs one more game to tie with Vuk Radivojević (249) at the 12th place.

Nemanja Dangubić (Partizan NIS) joined the ABA League 1,000+ points club as he now has a total number of 1,003 points in his ABA League career stats. During his ABA League career, Dangubić has played for Hemofarm, Mega Soccerbet, Crvena zvezda mts and Partizan NIS.

Rok Stipčević (Krka) made 2 three-pointers last weekend and has therefore tied with Miljan Pavković at the 18th place on the ABA League All-Time 3-Pointers Made list. Stipčević and Pavković have both scored 231 three-pointers.

Speaking about 3-pointers, we should mention that Josip Bilinovac (Cibona) made his 100th three-pointer in ABA League last weekend in the match against FMP.

In the same match, Sava Lešić (FMP) made 3 offensive rebounds and has therefore moved up to the 15th place on the ABA League All-Time Offensive Rebounds list. Lešić now has a total number of 277 offensive rebounds, while he might soon make another significant progress on this list as three players with 284 offensive rebounds are just in front of him - Alen Omić, Marin Rozić and Boris Savović.

Earlier in this text we have mentioned a perfect free-throw game and when speaking about that category we should not forget Corey Walden (Crvena zvezda mts) who continued his perfect free-throw streak last weekend. Walden has so far in this season had 34 free throw attempts and he has made all of them! Only Filip Bundović has made more free throws than Walden in this season – 35.
