BCL: Igokea suffer defeat vs. Tenerife

Igokea were defeated by Lenovo Tenerife in the opening round of the 2020/21 FIBA Champions League Top 16 stage.

For three quarters the two sides fought a hard battle in which neither team could gain some significant lead. However, then the visitors made the key 10:2 run in the first 5 minutes of the last quarter to increase their lead to 16 points – 70:54.

Nikola Jovanović with 13 points and Steven Gray with 10 were the top scorers of Igokera in this match. Interesting enough, the two top scorers of Lenovo Tenerife were the two players who used to play in ABA League – Sasu Salin (19 pts) and Giorgi Shermadini (17 pts).
