Game recap: Igokea have made another major step toward the 2021 ABA League Playoffs as they beat Borac on the road this Saturday evening. Despite having a bit of a slow start and letting the home team take an early 9-point lead – 14:5, Igokea’s troops have quickly bounced back on their feet and started dominating the court. The boys from Laktaši have put on one of their best offensive displays in this season, scoring 101 points along the way, while they eventually grabbed quite a comfortable win.

Igokea now have an overall score of 17-4 and they are close to repeat the success from the 2012/13 season when they reached the ABA League Playoffs. On the other side, Borac are now at 5-15 and they are in front of a tough battle for survival in ABA League.

Key moments: As you can see in the final score, Igokea’s offense has worked perfectly throughout the whole match. Still, it was their defense that eventually brought them the crucial lead. The visitors won the 3^rd quarter by 19:9 and therefore escaped on a double-digit lead, while they had no problems staying in front in the rest of the match.

Man of the match: Nikola Jovanović has played the best game of his ABA League career! Igokea’s center finished the match with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while his overall index rating was 31.

Can’t trick the stats: Igokea were simply a lot better than Borac this evening in every single game element. The visitors had more rebounds and more assists than their rivals and at the end of the day they scored no less than 101 points.
