The World of Stats: Prkačin and Mavra set new 2020/21 season records

Roko Prkačin (Cibona) has become the only U18 player in league history to score 35+ points in a single match. Prkačin made 38 points in the game against Zadar, which is the 2020/21 ABA League season record for the most points scored in a single game by one player. Only two other U18 players have scored 30+ points in a single game – Uroš Tripković (33 points) and Džanan Musa (35 points).

In the same match, Dominik Mavra (Zadar) scored 33 points and had the overall index rating of 47, which is he 2020/21 ABA League season record for the highest index rating achieved in a single game by one player. Mavra has also tied the club’s all-time record for the highest index rating achieved in a single game by one player in ABA League, which has been in possession of Marko Banić since 2005. Banić had the overall index rating of 47 in the match between Zadar and Geoplin Slovan, that was played on January 22, 2005.

Nemanja Gordić (Mornar) has taken over another top spot on ABA League All-Time lists as he is now holding the 1st place on the ABA League All-Time FG Made list. Gordić (1,054 FG made) surpassed Marin Rozić (1,052).

Suad Šehović (Budućnost VOLI) has tied with Bojan Krstović at the 8th place on the ABA League All-Time Games Played list as both of them have now played 270 games in the regional competition.

Marko Simonović (Crvena zvezda mts) has moved up to the 13th place on the ABA League Games Played list. Simonović has so far played 250 games in ABA League, while he surpassed Vuk Radivojević (249). Also, Simonović has made progress on the ABA League All-Time Defensive Rebounds list as he moved past Ante Tomić (552) to take over the 18th place with a total number of 553 defensive rebounds.

Stefan Pot (Igokea) and Žiga Dimec (Cedevita Olimpija) have played their 100th game in ABA League, while Justin Cobbs (Budućnost VOLI) has reached a 1,000-point milestone.

Uroš Luković (Mornar) has made it to the Top 20 on the ABA League All-Time Rebounds Leaders list. Luković now has a total number of 764 rebounds, while he surpassed 3 players to reach the 20th place on this list – Boban Marjanović (761), Ante Tomić (761) and Alen Omić (758).

Branko Lazić has moved up to the 9th place on the ABA League All-Time Steals Leaders list as he surpassed Nikola Otašević (267). Lazić has so far made 268 steals during his ABA League career.

Last week, Nikola Ivanović (Budućnost VOLI ) moved past Roko Leni Ukić (Split) to get into the Top 20 on the ABA League All-Time Top Scorers list, while this week Ukić made his way back into the Top 20 as he surpassed Ivanović once again. Ukić has so far made 1,889 points, while Ivanović has made 1877 points.

Speaking about Roko Leni Ukić, we should say that he has become only the 14th player in league history to collect 500+ assists. Ukić has so far made 502 assists in ABA League.

Darko Planinić (Cibona) has tied with Krunoslav Simon at the 15th place on the ABA League All-Time FG2 Made list. Both players have scored 515 two-pointers. Speaking about Cibona, we should also mention that Ivan Novačić has reached a 100-three-pointer milestone.

Also, Cibona team were 22/22 from a free-throw line in the match against Cedevita Olimpija, which is the 3rd best “perfect free-throw game“ in league history. Only Crvena zvezda mts (27/27, December 13, 2003) and Krka (24/24, December14, 2002) had a better free-throws score in a single match.

Jaka Blažič (Cedevita Olimpija) made his way past Krunoslav Simon (457) to take over the 17th place on the ABA League All-Time Free Throws Made list. Blažič now has a total number of 460 free throws made in his ABA League career stats.
