Preseason: SC Derby and Crvena zvezda mts score wins in their prep games

SC Derby and Crvena zvezda mts were victorious in their preseason games this Thursday evening, while Igokea suffered defeat in the match against Cluj.

SC Derby (ex Studentski centar) played their first game under the new team name and they defeated their ABA league rivals Split in Podgorica by 88:84. In a very dramatic game, Split’s big guy Karlo Žganec missed the three-pointer that would have put his team in front on 3 seconds before the end. In the remaining time, SC Derby increased the gap to 4 points and sealed their win in this match.

Fletcher Magee was the top scorer of SC Derby with 21 points, while Sani Čampara made 22 points for Split.

Crvena zvezda mts scored their 2^nd win in the ongoing preseason as they defeated Mega Basket by 82:77. Austin Hollins was the top scorer in the winning team with 20 points, while Nikola Ivanović, who made his first appearance for the red-and-whites since joining Zvezda this summer, scored 17 points (5/8 FG3) in his preseason debut. On the other side, former Crvena zvezda mts forward and current player of Mega Basket Boriša Simanić scored 17 points for the pink troops.

Igokea suffered a narrow defeat in the match against Cluj – 63:64. The boys from Laktaši had a chance to take the win in the final moments of the game, but their top scorer tonight James Robinson made just 1 out of 3 free throws. Robinson finished the game with 11 points.
