Young Wolves are hungry for success. Will this year be their year?

Cibona haven’t been among the top reginal teams for some time now, but the 2014 ABA League champions are eager to change that in near future. That is why the team management have gathered a very talented group of players that will try to bring Cibona back on the winning path.

The Zagreb side also have a very talented head coach. Vladimi Jovanović took over Cibona’s first team during the previous season and with some very important wins he managed to keep the team away from the relegation zone in ABA League.

Now, Jovanović and his young Wolves want to show that they are ready for the next step and that they may do something bigger than just fighting to escape the relegation. Cibona’s management have made a big job this summer by keeping Roko Prkačin, who is considered as one of the best young players in the entire region. Also, the club have kept some other hot prospects like Lovro Gnjidić, Mateo Drežnjak, Danko Branković, Toni Nakić, while Jakov Mustapić and Krešimir Radovčić have also remained in the roster.

Cibona have also made some very interesting transfers as they penned deals with Argentine guard Jose Vildoza (San Lorenzo), then with one of the best players of ABA 2 last season Amar Gegić (Spars), as well as with Ivan Majcunić (Gorica), Nathan Reuvers (University of Wisconsin–Madison) and Antonio Vranković (Split).

The team have stayed without the most experienced players from the last season’s team - Scott Michael Reynolds, Igor Marić, Darko Planinić and Ivan Novačić.

As we have previously said, this new team of Cibona is very young and full of talent. They have won all 5 preseason games so far, and they want to increase thst winning streak when the season officially begins.
