Presenting the 2021/22 ABA League teams – FMP

FMP had some ups and downs in the previous season, but the Panthers have eventually fulfilled their main goal without any problems. They have secured their ABA League status for the following season and they now want to make a step forward.

Still, at the beginning of this text, we should mention that FMP will enter the new season with a significantly different team. First of all, the Panthers have a new head coach as they appointed young and talented Nenad Stefanović to lead the first team. Stefanović has never coached any ABA League team in the past, so this will be quite a challenge for him and his coaching staff.

FMP have also made plenty of changes in the team roster. They have kept Marko Radonjić, Ebuka Izundu and Ranko Simović, as well as two youngsters Nemanja Popović and Lazar Vasić. All the other members of the 2021/22 roster are newcomers.

The Panthers have acquired two players from Borac – Bryce Jones and Nenad Nerandžić, who were both quite good last season in ABA League. Then, the team penned contract with one of the best players of 2020/21 ABA 2 side Sloboda Užice Dimitrije Nikolić, and with two players who have already showed a lot of potential during the ongoing preseason – Garrett Nevels (Porto) and Danilo Tasić (Levski Sofia). Finally, FMP added two more youngsters to their 2021/22 roster - Nikola Šaranović and Milutin Vujičić who both came from Crvena zvezda mts junior team.

How far can they go in the next season? No one knows that at this moment. But with so many young players in the roster, FMP will certainly be fun to watch.
