Krka are entering the new season with almost completely new crew.

After they managed to escape the relegation zone in the final rounds of the previous season, Krka have started rebuilding their roster. And when we say rebuilding, we mean creating an almost completely new team. The squad from Novo mesto have signed no less than 8 new players, while they have kept 6 players from the last-season squad.

Still, let’s start with the head coach. Dalibor Damjanović took over Krka’s team in March this year and he helped the green-and-whites keep their ABA League status. That secured him a contract extension that he signed with the club this summer, so he will still be standing next to Krka’s bench in the following season.

We said that Krka have kept 6 players from the 2020/21 roster and the club did a really great job by extending contract with one of the team’s best players from the previous season Rok Stipčević. Team captain Luka Lapornik has also remained in the team, as well as Jan Kosi and three youngsters Luka Medved, Leon Stergar and Miha Škedelj.

The Novo mesto squad made some very interesting signings. Among the 8 newcomers that arrived in the club this summer are Temple Gibbs and Hasahn French, two Americans that have already showed high class in preseason games. Also, the green-and-whites penned deals with some well-familiar ABA League faces like Marko Arapović and Jurij Macura, while they have also brought in Andrej Stavrov, Jaka Klobučar, Jakov Stipaničev and Jure Špan.

This new Krka team looks very interesting and have no doubt that they will be a danger for everyone. Especially at their home court in Novo mesto.
