EC: Budućnost VOLI stay undefeated after beating Virtus

Budućnost VOLI are still undefeated in this EuroCup season! In the third round of the Regular Season they have knocked down mighty Virtus Segafredo of Bologna at home in Morača Sports Hall after a major comeback late in the game. The squad, led from the bench by head coach Aleksandar Džikić, has been behind by 6 points after 30 minutes, but with excellent final quarter in which they have prevailed by 10 points, they got away with an 86:82 win in the end. For Budućnost VOLI, Justin Cobbs was the most efficient scorer with 23 points, while Willie Reed added 21.

On the road in Bursa, Cedevita Olimpija have suffered their first defeat of the EuroCup season. After a good first quarter, in which they went up by 5 points (26:21), they have fallen behind in the following two quarters, in which Bursa have been better by 16 points combined and they entered the final quarter with a double-digit deficit. They haven’t managed to turn it completely upside-down in the final minutes and Bursa won 93:84. For Cedevita Olimpija Jaka Blažič had 20 points, while Jacob Pullen and Marcus Keene scored 16 apiece.

A day before, Partizan NIS have prevailed over Joventut, which keeps them undefeated this season on the European courts.
