Igokea suffered road defeat in the match against Galatasaray Nef in Round 4 of the 2021/22 FIBA Champions League season. This was Igokea’s 2nd defeat against the Turkish giant in the group stage, which means that Galatasaray Nef will certainly have a better head-to-head score at the end of this phase.
And, that head-to-head score between teams might be very important at the end. Galatasaray Nef have the score of 3-1, PAOK and Nymburk ERA are at 2-2, while Igokea are currently at the bottom of the table with the score of 1-3. Recall that the first team from each group will advance to the Round of 16, while the second and third-placed teams will enter the Play-In phase through which they will try to reach the Round of 16.
As far as this game is concerned, it was Galatasaray Nef point guard Dee Bost who made the difference in the 4th quarter. Igokea had the lead – 66:65, six minutes before the end, however in the remaining time Bost made some key 3-pointers to guide the home side toward the win.
