EC: Budućnost VOLI and Partizan NIS grab valuable wins

Budućnost VOLI and Partizan NIS have scored wins in Round 5 of the 2021/22 EuroCup regular season.

Budućnost VOLI have defeated their AdmiralBet ABA League rivals Cedevita Olimpija in Podgorica by 91:60. The blue-and-whites presented a really powerful performance, while their point guard Justin Cobbs has played one of the best games in his career as he scored 33 points, while his overall index rating was 44!

Budućnost VOLI now have the overall score of 4-1, while Cedevita Olimpija are at 2-3.

At the same time, Partizan NIS have made it back on the winning track as they prevailed over Lietkabelis in Belgrade. The black-and-whites have been in front throughout the whole game, but they almost dropped everything late in the 4^th quarter. Lietkabelis managed to reduce the gap to just 3 points – 80:77 – and the Lithuanian side had two chances in the final minute to tie the score, but firstly their top scorer tonight Gediminas Orelik missed a 3-point shot, while 30 seconds later Nikola Radičević also missed a shot from behind the arc that would have tied the score.

After that, Kevin Punter made a big 2-pointer just 15 seconds before the end to seal the win for the Belgrade team – 82:77.

Partizan NIS now have the overall score of 4-1.
