EL: Crvena zvezda mts suffer narrow defeat against Barcelona

Despite a very good performance, Crvena zvezda mts were defeated by Barcelona in Belgrade in Round 15 of the 2021/22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season.

The red-and-whites were a worthy opponent to the top-placed team in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and they needed just a bit more luck to stun the mighty rival. Especially in the final moments of the game.

In a thrilling finish, at the score of 71:68 for the visiting side, Zvezda’s player Austin Hollins had a wide open 3-pointer to tie the score, but he missed the shot. Just couple of moments later, at the score of 73:69 and at the start of the final minute, Nikola Kalinić and Stefan Marković missed their 3-point attempts and Crvena zvezda mts therefore missed their last chance to beat Barcelona.

Crvena zvezda mts will play their next Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game already on Friday evening this week when they will host Bayern Munich.
