Story of the game: In the last game of Round 12 we will have a clash between two red-and-white teams. It’s Crvena zvezda mts vs. Borac.
Crvena zvezda mts had quite a week behind them as they played three super thrilling games over the past 7 days. As you all probably already know, the Belgrade side triumphed in their last AdmiralBet ABA League game after pulling off a sensational comeback against Krka on the road, while after that they played two home-court games in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague in which they scored one win. Zvezda firstly suffered a narrow defeat against Barcelona, but then they bounced back by beating Bayern Munich on Friday evening.
The reigning AdmiralBet ABA League champions are definitely tired after all those tough games that they have had recently, but their recent results have boosted the team morale significantly and they now just want to keep winning.
On the other side, Borac have significantly improved their form lately as they scored two wins out of the last three games in the regional league. On top of that, the Čačak crew are playing very good on the road in this season as they have scored 3 wins out of the 6 away games so far.
This will be the 3rd game between Crvena zvezda mts and Borac in the regional league, with Zvezda winning the previous two quite convincingly. The Belgrade side won their previous home-court game against Borac by 83:63, while before that the reigning champions triumphed in Čačak by 95:64.
Match-up in focus: Crvena zvezda mts big man Luka Mitrović is playing one of the best seasons of his career and he deserves a lot of credits for the excellent results the Belgrade team is making so far. Now, Mitrović will confront one of the best young power forwards in the league – Borac’s player Marko Pecarski, who was the MVP of the round two weeks ago.
Their duel will definitely be very interesting to watch, especially because they will probably guard one another in the following game.
