NLB Wheel League: KKI Zagreb beat Parasport Slovenia to take the top spot

The fourth tournament of the 14th NLB Wheel League season took place in Zagreb this weekend. And, in the biggest game of the season so far, KKI Zagreb defeated Parasport Slovenia to seize the top spot on the table.

It was the clash of the two undefeated teams ahead of this round. KKI Zagreb used the home court advantage to make a great start as they’ve gained a 17-point lead already by halftime – 37:20. In the rest of the match, the Zagreb crew managed to stay in front and seize this huge win – 61:47.

In other games of this round, KKK Singidunum Crvena zvezda prevailed over KKOI Zadar by 44:40, after that KKI Zagreb defeated KKK Singidunum Crvena zvezda by 56:22 to keep the perfect score, while in the final game of this round Parasport Slovenia won the battle against KKOI Zadar – 61:20.

This tournament had a special guest as former NBA player Damjan Rudež came to watch the games and show his support for the NLB Wheel League.

“Thank you for inviting me to this tournament. The NLB Wheel League is a commendable project that is evolving and getting better every year," said Rudež who himself participated in campaigns to popularize parasport in Croatia in the past.

The final round of the 2021/22 NLB Wheel League will be played on May 14 in Vransko.
