2023 WC Qualifiers: Slovenia beat Sweden on the road
Slovenia have scored a valuable road win against Sweden on the road in the last round of the 1st stage of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. Meanwhile, Croatia suffered shocking defeat at home court against Finland and failed to qualify for the next stage.

Led by their two superstars Luka Dončić and Goran Dragić, Slovenia scored a valuable road win against Sweden on the road in the last round of the 1st stage of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. Dončić made a double-double performance with 31 points and 10 rebounds, while Goran Dragić made 21 points for the winning team.
Slovenia have finished the 1st stage of the qualifiers with the overall score of 4-2, while they will face Germany, Estonia and Israel in the 2nd stage of the qualifiers.
At the same time, Croatia suffered shocking defeat at home court against Finland and failed to qualify for the next stage. Croatia had a 5-point lead – 78:73 – with less than 1 minute remaining on the game clock, but then they missed 7 out of 8 free throws in the rest of the match and let Finland make a huge upset.
Bojan Bogdanović and Ivica Zubac were the top scorers in the Croatian team as each of them scored 21 points.
