Daron Russell (Mornar-Barsko zlato) set the new single-game scoring record in AdmiralBet ABA League as he made 47 points in the match against Zadar. Russell broke the record of his teammate Vladimir Mihailović who made 46 points in the last-season game between Mornar-Barsko zlato and Mega MIS.
And that is not all from Russell as this fantastic scorer broke a few more records. He made 88 points combined in the opening two rounds which is the new league record. The previous record was held by former Crvena zvezda mts player Milan Gurović who made 76 points combined in the opening two games of the 2006/07 season.
On top of that, Daron Russell had 31 field goal attempts last weekend which is also the league single-game record.
Speaking about the game between Mornar-Barsko zlato and Zadar, we should also mention that Marko Pecarski (Mornar-Barsko zlato) made 17 rebounds which is the new club’s record for most rebounds made in a single game by one player in AdmiralBet ABA League.
Also, Pecarski had 11 offensive rebounds which is not just the club’s all-time record, but also the 3rd best score ever recorded in the regional league. Only Mario Kasun (14) and Uroš Luković (12) made more offensive rebounds in a single game than Pecarski.
One more player had 11 offensive rebounds in one game and that is former Mega MIS center and current Budućnost VOLI player Alpha Kaba.
Edo Murić (Cedevita Olimpija) has tied with Domen Lorbek at the 18th place of the All-Time 3-Pointers Made list as both of them have now made 256 three-pointers in the regional league. Murić needs 4 more three-pointers to reach Jacob Pullen who currently holds the 17th place.
Murić’s teammate Alen Omić grabbed 9 defensive rebounds last weekend and has therefore made it to the Top 20 of the All-Time Defensive Rebounds Made list. Omić (570 rebounds) now holds the 19th place as he surpassed Marton Bader (564), Predrag Samardžiski (564) and Vuk Radivojević (569).
Omić has also made progress on the All-Time Rebounds list as he moved up to the 11th spot with a total number of 919 offensive rebounds. He surpassed Ivan Ramljak (916).
Nikola Ivanović (Crvena zvezda mts) has made it to the Top 15 of the All-Time Games Played list. The last-round match against his former team Budućnost VOLI was Ivanović's 274th game in the regional league.
By scoring 4 three-pointers in the match against Partizan Mozzart Bet, Strahinja Mićović (MZT Skopje Aerodrom) has reached a special milestone of 100 three-pointers made in AdmiralBet ABA League.
Marko Jagodić Kuridža (Budućnost VOLI) has climbed up to the 16th place on the All-Time Defensive Rebounds list as he surpassed Edo Murić (Cedevita Olimpija). Jagodić Kuridža has so far made 580 defensive rebounds in the regional league, which is 1 more than Edo Murić (579).
Jagodić Kuridža has also moved up to the 17th spot on the All-Time Rebounds Made list. He now has 837 rebounds in his career stats, while he surpassed Marton Bader (835) to reach the 17th place.
By making 5 steals in the last-round derby match between Crvena zvezda mts and Budućnost VOLI, Branko Lazić (Crvena zvezda mts) has become only the 5th player in league history to make 300+ steals.
