Split pen a 2-year deal with former SC Derby player Boris Tišma

Split have added another talented player to their 2022/23 roster as they signed a contract with 20-year-old forward Boris Tišma until 2025.

Tišma is considered as one of the top prospects from our region. He moved to Real Madrid when he was 13 years old and after spending years in Real Madrid youth academy he was included in the first team in the 2020/21 season. In 2021, Tišma went on a loan to Real Betis, while after that he joined SC Derby and made his AdmiralBet ABA League debut in the 2021/22 season.

After a year-and-a-half spent in SC Derby, Tišma decided to accept the offer from Split for which he will play in the 2nd part of the 2022/23 AdmiralBet ABA League campaign.

„I am thrilled to join Split and I am coming here with a huge desire to achieve some big things with this club. And when I heard that there is an option to wear the famous number 7... My childhood idol Toni Kukoč wore it when he played for Split and now I will wear it too. I know it is a great responsibility, but I am willing to take it. I have Kukoč’s jersey at home. And here I am now, at Gripe, where my idol used to play,” said Tišma.

Boris Tišma was part of U16 Croatian national team that won the gold medal at the U16 EuroBasket 2018.

Boris Tišma stigao u Split

Iza 20-godišnjeg Borisa Tišme su velike stvari, kao 13-godišnjak iz Dubrave je otišao u Real Madrid, postao kadetski prvak Europe s Hrvatskom (izabran u petorku prvenstva), bio na posudbi u Real Betisu, pa osjetio ABA ligu u dresu SC Derbyja i evo ga sada na Gripama. Stigao je mladić kojeg su odmalena uspoređivali s Tonijem Kukočem, mladić pred kojim je velika karijera. Tišma je potpisao ugovor sa Splitom do 2025. godine. Stigao je jedan od onih koje zovemo "new generation". Boris, dobrodošao na Gripe.

- Presretan sam što dolazim u Split, spreman sam na veliki rad i odricanja, stižem sa željom za velikim stvarima. Još kad se otvorila mogućnost da odjenem dres s brojem 7... Nosio ga je moj idol iz djetinjstva Toni Kukoč, sada ću ja igrati sa žutom sedmicom. Znam da je to velika odgovornost, ali želim je preuzeti. Da, imam doma stari Kukočev dres Jugoplastike i evo me sada na Gripama - rekao je 205 centimetara visoki Tišma.
