EC: Budućnost VOLI suffer narrow defeat against Dolomiti Energia Trento

Budućnost VOLI lost the thrilling road game against Dolomiti Energia Trento in Round 16 of the 2022/23 EuroCup regular season.

The Podgorica team were down by 21 points after the first half – 49:28, but then they pulled off a heroic comeback in the 2^nd half and they even managed to take over the lead, with just 3 minutes left in the game – 70:71.

However, Budućnost VOLI did not finish the job until the end. At the score of 77:76 for the home team, in the final minute of the game, Trae Bell-Heynes missed a very important free throw, while on the other side Dolomiti Energia Trento made the key 2-pointer to increase the home team's lead to 3 points – 79:76.

Budućnost VOLI had couple of seconds to try to force overtime, but their tonight's best scorer Trae Bell-Haynes missed a tough 3-point shot and the score remained 79:76 for the Italian team.

Budućnost VOLI now have the overall score of 9-7.
