Krka win the NLB ABA League 2 trophy after overtime thriller in Domžale

For the second season in a row, we have got the name of the NLB ABA League 2 champions after an overtime in the Final.
In the Final of the 2022/23 NLB ABA League 2 season, Krka have prevailed over Helios Suns in Domžale Sports Hall in an overtime thriller and grabbed the championship trophy.
In their second NLB ABA League 2 season ever, Krka have grabbed their second trophy in the second-tier regional competition!
They have prevailed over the Helios Sun in a thrilling game in the NLB ABA League Final, which means, that they will, once more, return to the AdmiralBet ABA League after just one season played in the NLB ABA League 2.
It has been a game of many ups and downs, where Krka pulled away a couple of times, but Helios Suns managed to find their way back into the game each time in the regular part of the game. In the end, Helios Suns almost managed to win the game, but Rok Stipčević scored two free throws to tie the game at 78:78 and take the clash into overtime.
In a nervous battle of two excellent defenses in the overtime, Krka prevailed, with the final score of 82:83. Austin Luke had the chance in the end to give a win to his team with a lay-up, but Leon Stergar emerged with a game-winning block!
